The San Diego Zoo is one of world's biggest and best-known zoos, famous for helping save endangered species. The African and Asian elephants are among those endangered animals declining in number. Now, visitors to the San Diego zoo can enter a world of elephants whose distant ancestors once lived in North America. Mike O'Sullivan paid a visit to the zoo's new Elephant Odyssey, an exhibit that shows the link between ancient and modern wildlife.
