Today, we will continue to work on Computer vocabulary from the Heinle Picture Dictionary and read the seventh chapter of Andrew's Journey to a New Life in America. (Hint: someone gets fired!)

Yesterday, we discussed idioms about fire/love.

Before: "hot for"
I am hot for that new girl at work. I think I will ask her out.

During: "burning"
I am burning with love for my new girlfriend.

After: "carry a torch"
She dumped me, but I still carry a torch for her.

Long time ago: "old flame"
Don't be jealous--she's just an old flame. She was my girlfriend a l-o-n-g time ago.
